Squid

After reading Lost and Found in our Houghton Mifflin reading series,  our class made squid and hung them from the ceiling to go along with the story.

They were pretty simple.  Each child used a cardboard tube from a paper towel roll.
Steps:
1.  Cut slits about 1/4" to 3/8" apart for the tentacles.
2.  Curl the tentacles, by wrapping each one around a pencil.
3.  Paint the squid.
4.  Fins & beaks were cut from cardstock then glued on along with wiggly eyes, and sequin "suckers".
